And I think to myself...

Julia was the youngest Louis Armstrong fan that I've ever met.  Maybe it had something to do with the joy of shouting "Dolly!".  As soon as she was old enough to exert a musical preference, it was Louis.

Today seems like the perfect day to share the lyrics to a Louis song, a song which in my mind is one of the most beautiful ever written, and which speaks to me of the legacy that Julia left in our hearts...

What a Wonderful World

I see trees of green, red roses too.
I see them bloom for me and you.
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue, and clouds of white.
The bright blessed day, and the dark sacred night
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky,
Are also on the faces of people going by.
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
What they're really saying is "I love you".

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow.
They'll learn much more than I'll never know.
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
Yes I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
